Can Businesses Thrive and Benefit From A Bartering System?

Over the last few challenging years I‘ve been part of many conversations about how to establish a local bartering system in the Cowichan Valley.

We’ve been seeking a system that could support our small businesses and individuals too. I am excited to share with you that there is a Canadian bartering system & it’s here in the Cowichan Valley. BarterPay has expanded across Canada & I am proud to announce that I am the new BarterPay Coach here in the Cowichan Valley, representing Vancouver Island north of Mill Bay. I’m so looking forward to fostering and expanding our business community! I love connecting people, seeing people succeed and win in all capacities of their lives. As an entrepreneur myself, I understand what it takes to build and sustain a small business!  What I love the most about BarterPay is that it’s for absolutely any type of business and it fosters a spirit of community and collaboration among businesses.

What is BarterPay? It’s a BUSINESS to BUSINESS Structured bartering system. And it’s been working for over 4000 businesses! Here’s a simple breakdown on who it’s for and how it works.

Have you got extra unsold inventory, seats in your restaurant, unbooked space or time in your calendar? Barter your spare capacity for credits that you can use to get anything your business needs. Whether you have a home-based, retail, hospitality, health care, media, travel or trades business, your unsold inventory, time, services can be offered up at retail value, enabling you to earn Barter Credits (TM) to acquire the products and services you need. Don’t spend your cash when you can barter locally and across the nation.

To help build our local bartering economy, John and Debbi Porter, the founders of BarterPay, are coming to the Island and I’ll be hosting an information/meet and greet session on Thursday, July 11th at 7pm, at Avalon Farm. (5515 Samuel road, Duncan). Come meet these wonderful humans! Bring a business friend and if you know a registered charity who can use some support, bring them too! John and Debbie love sharing and answering all questions, so don’t be shy!

Can’t attend? Feel free to contact me at dom.daviau@barterpay.ca or go to BarterPay here https://barterpay.ca/locations/cowichan-valley-027/

I hope you are as excited as I am for this opportunity to grow business and community! I look forward to meeting you soon!
